Australia Secondary School Physics

Secondary-school physics for Australia, following the ACARA Australian Curriculum: Science across Years 7–10 and the senior-secondary Physics Units 1–4 of Years 11–12. Forces, energy, electricity, waves and the atom move from everyday description onto a firm, quantitative footing. Each year below is a course you can focus on.

Lower Secondary (7–10)

  1. Year 7 — forces, energy, matter and space.
  2. Year 8 — circuits, magnetism, sound and light.
  3. Year 9 — motion, energy and waves you can measure.
  4. Year 10 — Newton's laws, waves, magnetism and the atom.

Senior Secondary (11–12)

  1. Year 11 — Physics Units 1–2: mechanics, quantum, circuits and fluids.
  2. Year 12 — Physics Units 3–4: fields, thermal, nuclear and astrophysics.
