Undergraduate Mathematics — Year 1

The foundation year. Before you can do university mathematics you have to learn its language — proof, logic and sets — and rebuild the calculus and algebra of school on rigorous ground. Alongside them come the discrete tools (counting, graphs) and a first taste of abstract structure through group theory. Each module below links either to a whole subject hub or to the specific concepts that make up a first-year course.
